100+ millionchildren worldwide have lost either one or both of their parents.

Every child needs love, care, and attention in order to grow up to be strong, healthy, and well-rounded adults. Sadly, not every child has this opportunity. According to UNICEF, an estimated 100+ million children worldwide have lost either one or both of their parents.

While many of their peers can feel secure enough to learn, play and grow, orphaned children struggle with their most basic needs: food, shelter and love. These innocent children suffer through no fault of their own, and often have no one to turn to. But if we act together, we can be there for them.

It doesn’t need to be this way. But we all must work together to ensure that all people have the food they need.

Raise the Children’s International Orphan Relief

Embrace Relief currently partners with seven orphanages in six countries, including two new partnerships founded in 2023. Through these orphanages, Embrace Relief’s donors provide critical support for more than 375 children. They include:

  • Syifa Orphanage, Indonesia - 16 children
  • Ebru Yeter Orphanage, Indonesia - 13 children
  • Alawuddin Girls Orphanage, Afghanistan - 220 children
  • Hiairi Orphanage, Tanzania - 64 children
  • Galaxie Foundation Orphanage, Republic of Congo - 26 children
  • Fatih Orphanage, Ghana - 25 children
  • New Dawn Home Association Orphanage, Colombia - 13 children

Raise the Children and the UN Sustainable Development Goals

Embrace Relief’s Raise the Children program is designed in accordance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The SDGs are a blueprint for achieving a peaceful, prosperous, equitable and sustainable future for all of humanity, and together the 17 goals serve as targets for worldwide cooperation to meet and overcome the greatest challenges we face. All of Embrace Relief’s programs contribute to the realization of at least two SDGs.
