As 2018 comes to a close, we want to express our deep gratitude for your dedication to Embrace Relief. Your gracious donations this year have helped Embrace Relief move forward with its mission to save lives all over the globe, one day at a time. You have helped us restore lives, place smiles on the faces of many, and make the world a better place each and every day.
One of the flash campaigns of this year was the refugee families in Greece campaign. As you are well aware, thousands of refugees fleeing persecution at home have been trying to find a safe haven in Greece. Unfortunately, some of them have lost their lives during treacherous journeys, and the ones who finally made it find it hard to survive in a new country with no financial resources. As part of the refugee relief campaign, Embrace Relief has helped many of those families stand on their feet again with monthly stipends.
Another big project of the year was the food distribution in Yemen. According to the UN, the situation in Yemen is the world’s worst man-made humanitarian disaster with 8.4 million people considered at risk of starvation. We have been delivering essential food items (flour, rice, sugar, and oil) to vulnerable families mainly in the capital city of Sana’a, and thousands of families in Yemen have received Embrace Relief food packages already. Both of these campaigns will continue in 2019 as well. On top of them, our regular campaigns (disaster relief, clean water, children, education, health and women’s empowerment projects) will continue as usual.
Throughout the year, we have been asking donations for our various campaigns, but this time we are asking for your support directly to Embrace Relief so we can continue our operations. Remember: Only with your support can Embrace Relief continue its vital work! As you consider your year-end charitable contributions, we ask you to please consider making a fully tax-deductible donation to enable the continuation of our work for the upcoming year. You can use this donation for your 2018 tax returns, as long as it is made before December 31! Also, you can support Embrace Relief by donating stocks for the first time this year.
