About this campaign
Building hope through education in Chad
Sixty children currently study in tents at the Smiling School in N'Djamena. This Embrace Relief-supported project will create a permanent learning environment for 120 students, including 30 orphaned children.
Phase one: urgent first floor
- Four classrooms
- One kitchen
- Four toilets
The basement and walls are complete. Finishing the first floor will allow children to move from tents into safe classrooms.
Phase two: orphan care and learning
- Five bedrooms for orphaned children
- One library and study room
- One supervisor room
A permanent school provides protection from extreme heat and rain, access to sanitation, room for modern education and long-term stability for orphaned children.
