BACKPACK DRIVE 2023

You wouldn’t know it because of the summer heat, but a new school year is almost upon us. Families across the country will soon be going back-to-school shopping to give their children the tools they need to be prepared for their classes. Unfortunately, for many families, this simply is not an affordable option. For those families, Embrace Relief is here to help.

On Saturday, July 29, we will host our fifth annual Backpack Drive along with the FBI Newark Citizens Academy Alumni Association, filling more than 1,000 backpacks full of school supplies for school children throughout New Jersey. This will provide underprivileged students with backpacks, notebooks, pens and paper, crayons and markers, and other classroom items.

Donating to Embrace Relief’s 2023 Backpack Drive will be a huge boost to struggling families. You can help give children the tools they need to stay on track in the classroom, while ensuring their parents can focus on affording everyday necessities like housing, food and medicine.

Last year, your donations enabled us to provide 1,008 backpacks and 120 lunchboxes for students. This year, we want to do even more! That’s where you come in.

On July 29, Embrace Relief and the FBI Newark CAAA will come together to pack the backpacks, before they are distributed to students around the state during the month of August. With every $50 donation to Embrace Relief’s 2023 Backpack Drive, you can ensure an additional 5 students have everything they need once class is back in session.
