Brooklyn Amity School is a private school in New York that provides for students from Pre-K to 12th grade. Our school provides a safe learning environment that cultivates respect for self & others. Our students are global thinkers who contribute to the community as socially-responsible, kind, generous, and educated members of society.

Helping Hands club is the longest-running club in our school, where we have students come together and join programs and organize events that aim to improve our school, society, and world. We focus on helping others through various organizations that aim to aid those in need. Embrace Relief is one of the long-standing organizations that we have collaborated and completed projects with. Last year, we had a successful bathroom renovation project in a school in Tanzania. This year, we would like to continue our impact by conducting a medical campaign for the health of locals in Uganda, providing a clean water source through means of water well construction, and visiting local orphanage schools to provide them with school supplies.

Short Term Goals:

  • organize events aimed to fundraise money for one project
  • complete projects like water wells, or bathroom renovation campaigns, etc
  • have trips for students to see the locations they've helped restore/renovate

Long Term Goals:

  • establish a rigorous portfolio for members of the club that have many projects in connection to this long-term collaboration
