Humanitarian Aid for Gaza Relief

The war in Gaza continues to take a heartbreaking toll on the people of Palestine, where the current death toll is estimated to be as low as 38,000 and as high as 186,000. With nearly 90 percent of the Gaza Strip’s population displaced from their homes, and most lacking adequate necessities like food, shelter, Palestinians living in Gaza are in the midst of a deep humanitarian crisis.

In this time of need, charitable donations to Gaza are providing a lifeline of support for people in their time of greatest need. This is why Embrace Relief, a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) organization, is joining with our partners at Anera to provide relief aid to Gaza. And your support is more critical than ever in helping us meet the needs people suffering during this conflict.

Relief Aid for Infants, Schoolchildren, and Mothers in Gaza

The ongoing conflict has devastated infrastructure, including schools and healthcare facilities, and has led to severe food shortages. Half the population faces famine, and the psychological toll on children is profound, with widespread mental health issues exacerbated by continuous violence.

Our comprehensive project is providing immediate relief and long-term support to the people of Gaza, with a focus on two key areas:

1. Food assistance

  • Provision of 2,500 cans of powdered milk formula for children aged 0-2 years, providing critical nutritional support for both infants and their mothers.
  • Procurement and distribution coordinated with local partners to ensure efficient and targeted delivery.

This will address the severe food insecurity and malnutrition affecting infants and young children. An Integrated Food Security Phase Classification report released this week shows over 495,000 people in Gaza are experiencing extreme food shortages. At the same time, 96% of the territory's population face acute shortages – and “all children in Gaza are at risk of famine,” according to Save the Children.

2. Psychosocial Support (PSS)

  • Recreational activities and informal education sessions for children.
  • PSS sessions led by trained psychologists and social workers.
  • Provision of emergency learning packs to support educational continuity.

This will help alleviate the mental health crisis caused by the ongoing conflict by providing essential PSS services to more than 2,000 children and 240 caregivers. The program will provide resources to help them cope with the trauma and stress of the conflict.
