After months of ongoing war in Gaza, a grim reality confronts us: more than a half-million Palestinians are suffering from severe malnutrition and disease, and children are dying of starvation every day. The World Health Organization calls the situation "catastrophic" and warns that famine is imminent.

In the wake of the destruction, the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) reports that a staggering 62 percent of Gaza's homes lie in ruins, leaving 75% of the population displaced -- including many families who have had to flee multiple shelters.
