Emergency Relief for Afghanistan Earthquake Victims

A 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck eastern Afghanistan late Sunday night, Aug. 31, devastating the mountainous regions of Kunar Province and Jalalabad.

The disaster has caused unimaginable suffering, with more than 1,400 lives lost, more than 3,500 injured, and entire villages reduced to rubble.

Due to the rugged terrain of this part of Afghanistan, reaching survivors is extremely difficult. Many families are still trapped, evacuations are ongoing, and thousands of families have been left without homes, food, or medical care.

As we speak, Embrace Relief and our partners are actively distributing urgent aid to survivors. Right now, affected communities:

  • Food supplies
  • Medical assistance
  • Emergency tents and temporary shelters

Since 2019, Embrace Relief has been supporting the Afghan people through humanitarian programs in education, healthcare, and hunger relief. In the aftermath of this earthquake, they urgently need our help more than ever.

Please donate now and stand with the people of Afghanistan. Your donation can save lives, — and together, we will bring hope and relief to families who have lost everything.
