The world’s worst man-made humanitarian crisis continues to cause suffering in Yemen. The country has been entangled in a civil conflict since 2014, causing widespread devastation, death, misery, and poverty.
With the nation’s economy shattered and supply lines disrupted, more than half of the country’s population goes hungry each day. The UN World Food Programme estimates that 48 percent of Yemeni children under the age of 5 suffer from chronic malnutrition, putting them at higher risk for chronic, lifelong health conditions and a shorter lifespan.
As long as the conflict continues, ordinary Yemeni families must rely on the support and love they receive from the international community. That’s where Embrace Relief comes in. We have developed years-long relationships with our local partners in the country, allowing us to provide food packages and distribute bread to hundreds of thousands of people in need.
Since the start of 2022, we have sponsored a free daily bread distribution in the capital city, Sana’a. Currently, we reach 100 families each day. By the end of 2023, this program will have provided life-saving bread to approximately 775,000 Yemenis in total. This is in addition to the thousands of Yemenis also benefit annually from our International Hunger Relief campaigns, where we deliver food packages and meat packages to communities in need.
We are proud of our efforts to aid the people of Yemen. But we can’t do any of this alone. We need your help to ensure that thousands of vulnerable people in Yemen have the food they need to survive this tragic time.
Donate to Embrace Relief’s Yemen Hunger Relief program today and we can work together to save lives in Yemen!
