The situation on the ground remains difficult in the aftermath of the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that shook Turkey & Syria. Over 36,000 people have been reported to have died and many more injured. Transportation networks have also been disrupted, meaning many people cannot contact their family or know if they are safe. Many roads are closed and much of the city is not accessible. Outside aid is crucial to the survival of many people in Turkey and Syria.
