Hurricane Helene has left a trail of destruction in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, specifically Asheville, and elsewhere across the southeastern United States, and Embrace Relief is asking for your help to provide urgent assistance to those affected by this disaster.
The powerful Category 4 storm made landfall late Thursday night, Sept. 26, in northwestern Florida, and brought with it 140-mph winds, a devastating storm surge, flooding rains, and widespread tornadoes. At least 7 people have been confirmed dead, many roads and bridges have been rendered impassable, and more than 4 million people have been left without electricity as a result of Helene. The full extent of the damage will likely end up being far greater.
In the immediate aftermath of a storm of this magnitude, many will be displaced from their homes; others will be unable to access the critical basic necessities they need to survive. Embrace Relief, together with the Divan Center, is working to deliver aid to the communities affected, but we need your help – urgently.
Donate to our Hurricane Helene Relief fund today and help Embrace Relief provide food, water, first aid and other emergency supplies to victims of this devastating storm. Every dollar you give will help our friends in Florida and beyond recover from this disaster.
Divan is a 501 (c) (3) charitable, cultural non-profit non-governmental organization dedicated to addressing the social, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the people living in North Carolina.
