Nearly 38 million Americans – one in 10 –is food insecure, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, with Black and Hispanic Americans facing higher rates of food insecurity. An estimated 13-to-15 million children live in households that lack access to enough food, and one in four single mothers is food-insecure. And after years of decline in the U.S., hunger is on the rise here since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thanks to your support, during our International Hunger Relief: Ramadan 2022 campaign, Embrace Relief was able to provide food packages or hot meals to more than 2,400 people in the United States! We want to help even more people during our Ramadan 2023 campaign, and we need your help to do it.
