Rohingya Refugee Fire Relief

Urgent aid is needed for Rohingya refugees living in Bangladesh following a deadly fire at a refugee camp on Sunday, Jan. 7. The fire, which broke out around 1 a.m. that night, raged for more than three hours at Camp No. 5, home to thousands of Rohingya families who have fled persecution in neighboring Myanmar.

Rohingya volunteers, with the help of the community, eventually brought the fire under control, but not before it claimed the lives of six people, including three children. The fire also caused widespread damage to more than 800 shelters and many other facilities in the camp, leaving many families without a safe place to live and sleep. The community at Camp No. 5 is only beginning to recover. In this difficult time, they need our help to provide urgently needed food, medicine, and other basic necessities.

Embrace Relief is committed to supporting refugees worldwide, and we have created a relief fund for Camp No. 5. Now, we need your help. Donate to our Rohingya Refugee Fire Relief fund and provide critical support for these brave families. Only by joining together can we help our Rohingya friends rebuild their lives!
