More than 33 million people in Pakistan have been affected by severe, unprecedented levels of flooding this summer, causing untold destruction and nearly 1,000 confirmed deaths to date.
Officials call this “the worst humanitarian disaster of the decade,” with whole villages and communities swept away by the rising floodwaters caused by extended periods of heavy monsoon rains. Nearly 500,000 homes have been destroyed, and electricity, gas and telecommunications have been cut off for large portions of the country.
The people of Pakistan need our support immediately. Our Mid-Atlantic Area community and non-profits-ATFA, Pinnacle Academy, and Rumi Forum need your support to raise funds to help the Pakistan flood victims.
Help the people of Pakistan recover from these disastrous floods by donating today.
