Hello there! I am an ambitious and passionate sixteen-year-old high school student. I have been passionate about health studies for almost my entire life, but I have recently become very interested in accessible healthcare for everyone worldwide.

This past summer, I travelled to rural communities in Peru, where I saw just a glimpse of the hundreds of thousands of people who do not have access to adequate healthcare treatment or services. During my time in Peru, I volunteered at a mobile clinic where I shadowed doctors and nurses and had the opportunity to meet local people. This experience sparked even more passion and ignited a fervent urge to help other communities in a similar way. I believe healthcare is not a privilege but a fundamental human right.

Therefore, I am putting my words into action and raising $10,000 to sponsor 25 cataract surgeries and build an additional exam room at Embrace Relief’s Golf Clinic in Mali, Africa. This will significantly increase the medical clinic’s capacity to see and treat Malians seeking medical treatment or care. The new exam room will increase patient intake from 150 per day to 350 patients per day, meaning that more lives will be changed and saved.
