At Embrace Relief, we believe every family worldwide should have the opportunity to access the healthy, nutritious food they need. But right here in our home state of New Jersey, 1 in 9 residents struggles with food insecurity, and more than 50 communities are classified as “food deserts,” defined as areas where people cannot access affordable healthy food due to economic instability, the closing of food stores and supermarkets, or a lack of transportation options.
Since 2021, Embrace Relief has pitched in to try to ease the burden on struggling families in our backyard through our Mobile Farmers’ Market!
23,000 Pounds Of Food – And Counting!
Part of our community-focused Embrace USA initiative, our Mobile Farmers’ Market is a refurbished bus that can store fresh produce and other essential foods for up to 110 families at a time.
Through partnerships with statewide organizations like the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, and local authorities like State Senator Britnee Timberlake, the Clifton Health Department, and the Turkish Cultural Center of New Jersey, we’ve delivered more than 23,000 pounds of food with our Mobile Market truck, reaching thousands of families in need in communities like:

- East Orange
- Garfield
- Montclair
- Orange
A Monthly Impact: Clifton Mobile Farmers’ Market
Since late 2023, our flagship monthly Mobile Market in Clifton has become a lifeline for local families. In partnership with the Clifton Health Department, the Clifton Public School District, and St. Peter’s Haven food pantry, we are providing 50 to 100 households with fresh, healthy food, along with valuable resources from our partners on health, safety, and community programs.
