Soup Kitchen Project
When we extend a hand of friendship to our neighbors in need, we become a stronger community. That’s why Embrace Relief VA and the Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS) are proud to partner for our Soup Kitchen Project, which will serve healthy and nutritious meals to those in need in the northern Virginia community.
The Soup Kitchen Project will host regular monthly distribution events at the NVFS Serve campus in Manassas, providing complete meals for approximately 65 adults and children at each event. Embrace Relief VA volunteers will prepare and distribute the meals, which will include a variety of healthy foods from each of the USDA-required daily food groups (proteins, whole grains, fruits, vegetables). We will ensure that each meal we serve is providing high-quality nutrition for the recipient.
This project will be critical in supporting the needs of the most vulnerable members of our community, and aims to be a beacon of hope and community in northern Virginia for a long time to come – but we can’t do it alone.
Embrace Relief VA and the Soup Kitchen Project rely on the generosity of donors like you to support this important, life-saving mission. Your gift will make a real impact on the lives of people in our community, and will help to lift up those who are struggling.
Donate today using the donation box on this page, and help Embrace Relief VA and NVFS serve our neighbors in need!
