International Hunger Relief Campaign: Ramadan 2021 Impact Report

Millions of people worldwide were struggling to put food on their table. Therefore, Embrace Relief—with the help of its global donors, partners, and volunteers—sent food packages to the following number of families in the countries listed below

International Hunger Relief Campaign: Ramadan 2021

  • United States: 900 families, and hot meals were served to 450 people at the food distribution center Oasis in Paterson, New Jersey
  • Greece: 1,322 families, and 1,300 families received $65 gift checks to shop at local markets
  • Yemen: 1,111 families
  • Tanzania: 250 families
  • The Democratic Republic of the Congo: 200 families
  • Kenya: 120 families
  • Uganda: 400 families
  • Ethiopia: 200 families
  • Mali: 180 families
  • India: 80 families and 350 orphans
  • Bangladesh: 100 Rohingya refugee families living in refugee camps
  • Afghanistan: 40 families

During the season of Ramadan, we not only distributed food packages, but we were also able to provide the following:

  • Yemen: 140 orphans received clothing, toys, and sweets
  • Tanzania: 100 children each received their health insurance in the Amani and Hiari Orphanages
  • The Democratic Republic of Congo: The Galaxie Foundation Orphanage’s children received 30 health insurances
  • India: Families and orphans received sanitary materials

As a result of its International Hunger Relief Campaign: Ramadan 2021, Embrace Relief—with the unending support of its donors, volunteers, and partners—reached a total of 6,103 families (over 30,000 people), providing them with not only the nutrition they desperately needed, but happiness and hope for a brighter future.

But we are not stopping here, we currently have another ongoing International Hunger Relief Campaign for this year’s Qurbani season.

We want to reach more families who are not privileged enough to have three meals a day. We want to provide meat to people who are not able to have protein in their daily diet and this donation will be their only chance to eat meat for one whole year.
