Hand-Pump & Kiboko Water Wells

At Embrace Relief we mandate that all our water wells are designed the same to ensure the highest quality drinking water for each community to thrive. Currently, there are two types of wells we have built for communities where clean water is scarce. 

Option 1: Hand Pump Water Well

Option 2: Electric Water Well

  • Cemented top to seal water from contamination
  • Runs about 147.64 feet underground through a galvanized pipe
  • Pipes pump water safely up, along with a full FVC for increased pumping rate.
  • Multifaceted filtration system comprised of decanters, strainers, and filters at bottom of well to remove various sediments 
  • Safe to build in Chad, Cameroon and Nigeria

  • 3,000-liter water tank located at the top sitting on 10cm thick concrete base
  • 3 taps in front of well remove needing to pump
  • 5cm of concrete under the soil to stabilize the well and pipe’s structure 
  • Runs about 295.28 feet underground through a galvanized pipe
  • A deep well submersible pump provides constant supply even during dry seasons 
  • Does not require priming since it is submerged in water underground.
  • Multifaceted filtration system comprised of decanters, strainers, and filters at bottom of well to remove various sediments 
  • Uncollected water from tap goes through an underground wastewater pipe 
  • Safe to build in Tanzania
  • 100% operational
