Welcome to R.I.S.E.

Since 2021, Embrace Relief has hosted the Reach Inspire Support Educate (R.I.S.E.) Program—a transformative initiative empowering women in Tanzania through education and leadership.

In Tanzania, 61% of teenage girls are not enrolled in school. Women hold only 19% of school leadership positions. R.I.S.E. addresses these gaps by providing a unique opportunity for female teachers.

How R.I.S.E. Works

Educational Path

Educational Path:

Female teachers become school administrators or supervisors through a two year program.

Diploma Programs

Diploma Programs:

Participants earn Diplomas in Education Management and Administration (DEMA) or School Quality Assurance (DSQI) from ADEM in Tanzania.

Financial Assistance

Financial Assistance:

Full support covers tuition and study materials.

If you would like to give an education to these girls, the cost of one semester for one student is just $771!

“Challenge was the college fee. But you give us the scholarship and take away the problem.”

Already, the first class of 24 female teachers graduated from the R.I.S.E. program in August 2023. Click here to learn more about their stories! Our graduates have reported improved leadership, conflict resolution, and teaching skills. This has allowed them to make a greater impact in schools across Tanzania. Not only has it raised self-confidence among female school teachers and fostered trust in women’s leadership, but these graduates have become role models for young schoolgirls.

“There are many learners who did not have the fees. The program can increase the number of learners. There are young students, young learners, who are facing challenges, and the problem can continue to help improve their life.”
