Ramadan Mubarak!

The holy month is upon us once again, offering billions of Muslims around the world the opportunity to engage in profound reflection, solemn devotion to Allah (SWT), and charity and mercy towards those less fortunate.

In 2026, Ramadan will begin in the United States at sundown during the evening of Tuesday, February 17. The holy month will conclude with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, which begins after sundown on Sunday, March 19.

Because the Islamic calendar is based on the lunar cycle, the dates for the beginning and end of Ramadan change each year, moving back in the calendar by approximately 10-11 days each year.

Another effect of the lunar cycle is the changing times for each day’s Ramadan prayers, as well as the time for the fast-breaking meal of iftar. Thus, it can be difficult to know when exactly is the proper time for prayer.

This Ramadan, Embrace Relief plans to deliver food packages and meals to tens of thousands of needy families in more than 20 countries. But we need your help to do so. Donate to our International Hunger Relief: Ramadan campaign today and help us ease hunger around the world for as little as $35. During this time of reflection and considering our blessings, make life a little brighter for people living with hunger.
