Right now, 11.3% of the world’s population is suffering from chronic hunger. Whether it be due to lack of resources, failing infrastructure, or poverty, millions of families still struggle to put food on their tables. Even though there is enough food in the world to feed everyone, it remains a difficulty to bring sustenance to certain regions. If you want to help to put an end to this worldwide problem, you can do your part by donating to Embrace Relief today.
Through our Food Distribution program, Embrace Relief has provided over 1 million pounds of food, sent food packages to thousands of families, delivered truckloads of food and water to the people of Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria, and helped to open a day-shelter for hundreds of Texans in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. Now, we are conducting a food drive to help those in the United States and African nations, as we work with soup kitchens by providing food and monetary contributions from our generous donors. We also work with schools to set up after-school programs and other activities for children. As a humanitarian organization, we are dedicated to helping those who are in dire need of food, water, and other supplies to lead better, healthier, and more sustainable lives.
Do you want to help us fight hunger? If so, please consider setting up your own fundraiser with Embrace Relief. We are always looking for new volunteers to aid in our mission. You may also contribute to our food drive by donating money or supplying non-perishable, easily sustainable foods and items such as:
Canned Vegetables, fruits, and meats
Peanut butter and jelly
Boxes of cereal and oatmeal
Oil (canola, olive)
Boxes of pasta and sauce
Boxes of crackers
Honey, syrup, and sugar
Soup broths and stocks
Canned soups and ramen noodles

Do your part in making chronic hunger a thing of the past. Embrace Relief will work with you to make sure your fundraiser feeds as many mouths as possible. Lift a mood and share your food.
Every day, millions of people around the world are deprived the necessities that we take for granted. Children are left without food, water, shelter, and education. Women are marginalized by oppressive societies. Masses of people are devastated by threats both natural and human. As we – in the Western World – benefit from the commodities of modern technology, we have the resources best fit for aiding those in need. If you are appalled by the injustices befallen on these people, you may want to do something about it. What can you do to make sure they can lead long, fulfilling lives? One way is by donating to Embrace Relief.

On November 12, an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.3 occurred on the Iran-Iraq border. The quake, which reached a depth of 23 km (just over 14 miles) according to the US Geological Survey, was felt across the region with aftershocks hitting Pakistan, Lebanon, Kuwait and Turkey, news agencies in those countries reported. Over 500 people died and 70,000 were left without shelter. Embrace Relief was swift in providing care and support to the victims in the region and extended a helping hand to families by distributing tents in villages heavily damaged by the earthquake. In a few short days, we were able to raise $8,000 to that was sent to the area and our volunteers to provide shelter to 40 families who lost their homes in the villages of Kani Bardina, Cerdasana and Kaneskan in the Sharazur District of Sulaymaniyah Governorate. Furthermore, we built a makeshift hospital because the one in the area we were working was destroyed.Photo:REUTERS/TASNIM NEWS AGENCY

In 2017, Hurricane Irma and Maria devastated Puerto Rico, and was dubbed the biggest natural disaster in its history. 80% percent of the territory’s agriculture was lost, communication networks were crippled, and more than half the population didn’t have potable water. After a quick and successful food drive, we shipped two truckloads that were 26 feet long stocked with water and food that was distributed in Puerto Rico. Moreover, we shipped 1 truck of essential emergency supplies in connection with the governor of New York.
In 2017, Hurricane Harvey – a category 4 hurricane – brought on major flooding to the May Flower School and Metro Area in Texas equating to 1 trillion gallons of water falling in just 4 days. Winds reached 130mph which produced 52 tornades. Overall, 300,000 structures and 500,000 cars were completely destroyed along with 61 drinking water and 40 wastewater facilities were made inoperable, causing sewage water to integrate with the flood surges that reached 10ft.
In response, Embrace Relief was able to raise $70,000 to send emergency aid and support to the victims affected. Furthermore, we raised $22,000 to open up a daytime shelter where we served hot meals two times a day to the victims of the hurricane, bought new furniture for families whose homes were flooded and destroyed the furniture, and house clean-up as provided for disaster victims in Houston.
