According to the United Nations, more than 820 million people are experiencing food insecurity right now. Hunger affects people in every corner of the world as a result of poverty, unemployment, political and civil unrest, climate change and conflict.
Embrace Relief’s annual International Hunger Relief campaigns are designed to combat the world hunger crisis and help as many people as possible by collecting funds to buy and distribute Qurban meat packages.
This meat is humanely and hygienically handled coming from goats, sheep, and cattle. Since refrigeration is a rarity in places like sub-saharan Africa, many people cut, salt, and dry their Qurban and eventually reduce it to a powder-like substance so it can last them up to a year of vital protein.
Our Qurban campaigns feed tens of thousands of vulnerable people each year in more than a dozen countries, including conflict-stricken Yemen, communities in need in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Mali, Nigeria, and more.
