Embrace Relief assists the 68.5 million people who have been forcibly displaced throughout the world. Having fled to foreign locales, these refugees require assistance as many feel lost and helpless. Making this issue a top priority, Embrace Relief designed a multi-faceted system that goes beyond normal food provision, focusing on three further core aspects, including psychological support, shelter and guidance to refugees.

To maximize impact this year, Embrace Relief has chosen to focus on Greece and Tanzania, as both are popular destinations for the displaced.

The Refugee Crisis in Greece

Embrace Relief helps the over 65 million people that are forcibly displaced throughout the world. These individuals are forced to leave their homes and lives behind to begin new lives in foreign countries.

Having uprooted their lives and relocated, these refugees require assistance to adapt. This process causes many refugees to feel lost and helpless. Due to the increasing number of refugees around the world, Embrace Relief has made it a priority to help those seeking safety.

Our organization has established a multi-faceted system designed to go beyond the normal food provisions. Four core aspects of this methodology are providing food, psychological support, shelter, and guidance to refugees. More than just providing food and goods to those in need, these volunteers support refugees in all aspects of their lives, by supplementing them with psychological support and guidance.

Together, Embrace Relief’s innovative approach to the refugee crisis in Greece highlights a model that addresses the physical, mental, and social needs of refugees. As the amount of refugees throughout the world continues to rise, refugee relief remains one of Embrace Relief’s main concerns. Thank You – International Hunger Relief

During this past month, thousands of people around the world have experienced a tremendous change in their lives — they were fed. Something as simple as grabbing a snack is not so simple to all people. Thanks to the contributions from our gracious donors, we have been able deliver over 4,500 food packages to places including Greece, Tanzania, Yemen, and the United States. On Monday, June 3, 2019, alone there were 250 food packages that delivered to Tanzania which made a drastic difference in the lives of those who received them. This would not be possible without the help and support from donors and volunteers. Today, the team here at Embrace Relief would like to take a moment to say thank you to all of those who have been kind and gracious enough to contribute to our world-wide relief efforts. Through these donors, we are able to help us help other people and change their lives for the better. Hard work and dedication make all of this possible; you help us help others.

Gifts for Refugee Children

The end of Ramadan is marked by the Eid al-Fitr, which is a source of joy and celebration for billions of people around the world. This occasion is especially joyous for children since most of them will welcome it with new clothes and gifts, yet not every child is so lucky. Many refugee kids around the globe will welcome Eid away from their homes, away from people they love and their favorite toys.

This Eid, Embrace Relief wants to cheer up some of those children with gifts. We will raise funds to buy toys and miscellaneous other gifts to be distributed to refugee children, initially to those in Greece. Each supply box per child will cost $20.

The Last Day of World Hunger Month

World Hunger Month may be coming to an end but global starvation is not.  The fear of famine continues to loom over many countries, including Yemen, Tanzania, Greece, and even parts of the United States.  There is a lack of food causing starvation, but also a lack of hope that causes emotional starvation. Those who are experiencing this hunger crisis struggle and fight for their lives everyday, but hold on in hopes for a better future.   Here at Embrace Relief, the generous donations from donors and volunteers turn this hope into a reality. Not only do they help those who are suffering, they also aid them in building a more secure and sustainable future.  When you donate, you do not only help feed their hunger but also their hope. People of all ages need your help immediately.  Over 3.3 million children in Tanzania alone suffer on a daily basis from malnutrition.  In Greece, 1 million refugees struggle to find food. In 2018 alone, over 85,000 children died of starvation in Yemen, and a severe famine threatens 14 million Yemeni. And over 5.8 million households in the United States experience food insecurity.   Embrace Relief not only supplies food but also hope. So many people suffer from a lack of food, but you can help them. When you send them a food package from our website you allow them to keep going by not only feeding them but by also giving them hope. Thanks to our donors, Embrace Relief has been able to send 5,240 food packages, improving thousands of lives. With your continued help and support, we can lift the lives of many more struggling people, and build new hope for them.    

Today is World Hunger Day

Today, May 28th, 2019, is World Hunger Day, and Embrace Relief is proud to announce that the organization has helped thousands of people through the plight of hunger.  This past year, with the help of countless volunteers and donors, Embrace Relief has been able to deliver over 4,400 food packages to places such as Greece, Tanzania and even the United States.  With continued support, we expect to expand our boundaries and help thousands of others around the world! According to WorldHungerDay.org, more than 821 million people in the world do not have enough food, of which 60% of the world’s hungry are women, and 98% of the world’s unnourished live in developing countries.(1)   First held on May 28, 2010, World Hunger Day is designed to raise awareness of the people worldwide experiencing chronic hunger. Furthermore, it seeks to celebrate sustainable solutions to hunger and poverty.  The theme this year focuses on sustainability, the Hunger Project believes ending hunger is possible when we empower people to become agents of change, lifting themselves – and their communities – out of hunger and poverty for the long term.(2)   The United Nations has laid out 17 sustainable development goals, the most relevant here being Goal 2: “Zero Hunger.”(3)  The organization recognizes that relief groups need to do more than just simply feed people; they must help ensure ample food security and access to clean water and agricultural technology.   The modern world has the ability to successfully feed all 7 billion people, yet 11.3% are battling hunger and struggling to survive.  Every year, millions of people around the world face hunger, but with the help of donors, they have a chance for a better life.  This issue does not stop at hunger: It is also related to extreme poverty and lack of education, which results in the lack of knowledge necessary to access clean water and agricultural needs.   The hard work and dedication of Embrace Relief volunteers and donors has been astounding and continues to make a difference in people’s lives around the world.  Thousands of people have been positively impacted and have experienced their lives turn around due to their help.
