We implement research-based programs to achieve measurable, sustainable improvements in the lives of those in need. By constantly using research and closely engaging with those we serve, our innovative approach ensures we deliver the most beneficial services.
Embrace Relief, with 200 volunteers, distributed hot meals to 6,500 people and hot soup to 7,700 others. Overall 23,400 Lbs of food were donated and distributed for Hurricane Sandy relief. 500 blankets were distributed along with 100 boxes of cleaning supplies. Overall, $128,000 were spent on Hurricane Sandy relief effort. Additionally Embrace Relief donated to the following organizations $50,000 to The Queens Library $30,000 to The Brooklyn Public Library $10,000 to Public School 277 $10,000 to Nassau Hurricane Recovery Fund.
Embrace Relief raised and donated $5,110 to the victims of the Bangladesh Flood in November 2011. The donations have been delivered to the Kimse Yok Mu Solidarity and Aid Association.
Embrace Relief raised and donated $11,473 to the victims of the Pakistan Flood in November 2011. The donations have been delivered to the Worldwide Resource Aid and House of Charity.

Embrace Relief donated $52,267 for the victims of the 2011 earthquake and Tsunami in Japan. $30,000 donation have been delivered to the Consul General of Japan in New York and $22,267 from that donation delivered the Japanese American Citizen league in Houston. President of Embrace Relief Nevzat Yilmaz presented the collected sum to Japanese official to show the goodwill of the Turkish-American community by contributing to relief efforts in Japan. Yilmaz said that, ” Turkish people had sympathy for the Japanese people because of the cultural and family bonds between these two nations.”
Embrace Relief raised and donated about 1000 beef cans, 1000 lopes breads, 1000 snack bars, 1000 soups, 1000 bottles of water and 1000 fruit cocktails to Forest Fire victims of Magnolia, TX in September 2011 in partnership with Raindrop Helping Helps.
Embrace Relief organized a fundraising for the 2010 forest fire in Israel. The raised money is donated for rehabilitation of the Mouth Carmel Forest. The $10,000 check have been presented to JNF CEO Russell Robinson for Operation Carmen Renewall campaign. The $25,000 check have been delivered to Consulate of Israel in Houston, Texas.
Embrace Relief raised and donated $21,817 to the Myanmar Refugees in November 2009. The donations have been delivered to the Helping Assistance Association.
Embrace Relief raised and donated $5,000 to Indonesia earthquake victims in September 2009. The donations have been delivered to the Honorable Kria Fahmi Pasaribu, the Consul General of Indonesia in Houston.
