The Eid al-Fitr holiday is a time of joy and celebration for millions of people around the world. Unfortunately, there are currently 79.5 million displaced people around the world, of which 31 million are children. This Eid holiday, millions of refugee children around the globe will welcome the celebration away from their homes, people they love, and their favorite toys. Child refugees are among the most vulnerable populations globally and often do not fully comprehend what has happened, why they left their homes, or what will happen. Refugee families often only travel with one bag that holds very little. As the journey to freedom is dangerous and exhausting, their clothes and belonging are often lost or ruined. In the sixty seconds it will take you to read this, 20 more people will flee their home country out of fear from war, persecution, violence, terror, and fear and become refugees. To become a refugee means leaving everything one knows behind, including family, friends, home. This is extremely difficult for children to comprehend and adjust to.Refugee students in Greece from our First Bricks after-school education program will receive the gifts at the end of Ramadan around May 12th. Please, join us in our mission to help refugee children celebrate Eid al-Fitr by sending them gift packages. You can help them remember what it means to be a carefree child again, reclaim their childhood, and help them celebrate this holiday of joy.
We are a group of mothers living in North Jersey who likes to make the kids of the refugees happy in these unprecedented times. We will buy gifts for the refugee kids with the collected funds in the Eidul-Fitr celebration.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), cataract is the leading cause of blindness and visual impairment in the world (47.9%). Cataract accounts for 30%–50% of blindness in most African and Asia countries. Approximately half the blindness in Africa is due to cataract. The prevalence of blinding bilateral cataract in Africa is estimated to be around 0.5%. Cataracts occur earlier in life in developing countries and in rural areas, and the incidence is higher.
This is why we want to start our Group FUNdraiser “Living For Others” because we want to give the gift of sight to these people in need so they can live their life successfully and so that they can see their loved ones. In addition, this can also change their lives forever because we can help them thrive even more in their communities and be able to finally contribute to the society.
You can help us give the gift of sight today by donating to our group FUNdraiser TODAY!
Sky Academy conjoined with Embrace Relief, wants to develop and aid the Fountains of Hope project. Sky Academy is an organization that aims to raise the next generations with strong ethical and universal values centered around the ageless values of humanity. Partnering with Embrace Relief, which is a non-profit organization that collaborates with volunteers to deliver humanitarian aid and disaster relief to vulnerable communities around the world. Embrace Relief has already established 400 water wells around the world and these students are ready to develop the project Fountains of Hope: to reconstruct water wells in Chad and Cameroon, Africa.
This fundraiser is to reconstruct 3 water wells that do not provide sanitized water to the people in Chad and Cameroon. The fundraiser will directly aid the maintenance required to replace water pumps and water pipes to dig deeper for fully sanitized drinking water. This project is going to help the people of Chad and Cameroon live a life where they do not need to worry about diseases such as E. Coli, Salmonella Typhi, Schistosoma, Cholera, and Hepatitis A. These are conditions which the people in Africa have to endure without sterilized water. This project is to provide relief and clean water to the people of Chad and Cameroon. The outlet of sharing and helping people who need it. Sky Academy as a team is here to help to project grow. To help the world grow.
Have you ever thought about the children that have to walk miles to get the average water bottle? Me and my friends have, and we have been doing lemonade stands and yard sales, but we all now this will not get us the money we require. So because of this we will need a lot of support. Use the kindness in your heart to give these poor kids there water in Cameroon. LETS GO BAWIA!!!
