In 2023, Qurbani will occur on June 29-30. During this time, sheep, goats, and cattle are humanely and hygienically sacrificed in adherence with common dietary restrictions. At this important time of year, join Embrace Relief and provide food for people in need in Africa (including the countries of Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Mali, Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, and Democratic Republic of Congo), as well as Yemen, Greece, and the United States, by donating to Embrace Relief’s International Hunger Relief: Qurbani 2023 campaign.
On August 4th at 6:08 p.m., a massive explosion erupted in the capital city of Beirut, Lebanon, that measured a 3.5 magnitude earthquake that was felt up to 150 miles away.
Here is what we know so far:
Specialists from the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom estimated the blast had one-tenth the force of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima, making it one of the biggest non-nuclear explosions in history.
The MV Rhosus, a cargo ship owned by a Russian businessman, was carrying 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate (a highly dangerous chemical compound that is found mostly in fertilizer and explosives) that was confiscated by the Lebanese government in 2014. Since then, the ammonium nitrate has been sitting in a warehouse near the Port of Beirut, a vital piece of infrastructure to import scarce goods.
Lebanon imports over 80% of its food supply, leaving the country vulnerable to price inflation. Lebanon has been deemed the worst economic crisis in modern history, with over 50% of the population unable to buy basic products such as milk, sugar, fruits, and vegetables. Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic has added to rising unemployment, increased food insecurity, and economic turmoil.
Embrace Relief is prepared to collect and send donations directly to the people of Beirut so they can begin to rebuild their city. World leaders are coming together to support the Lebanese and, with your help, we are prepared to step-up too. Please join us in helping the people of Lebanon by donating any amount that you can contribute today.
Thanks to your generous support, Embrace Relief received 2,912 Qurban shares during our International Hunger Relief: Qurban 2020 campaign, and we are on track to distribute a total of 17,500 meat packages to families worldwide for Qurban 2020!
Qurban packages contain meat that was humanely and hygienically sacrificed from cattle, sheep, and goats. You have brought the gift of food and joy to the tables of thousands of families in 10 countries around the globe!
One of those countries, Yemen, is currently facing the world’s worst humanitarian crisis leaving millions on the brink of famine. According to the United Nations, 360,000 children could die from hunger in 2020 alone. Thanks to your support, Embrace Relief has distributed 906 Qurban meat packages to families who are facing severe food insecurity in the country.
Your Qurban donations are also going to provide much-needed nutrition for thousands in sub-Saharan Africa. Since refrigeration is often a rarity in this part of the world, many recipients cut, salt, dry, and grind the meat into a powder which they can sprinkle into foods and drinks. This powdered protein can last a family in Africa for up to one whole year.
Meat and animal products are necessary for children in order to grow properly because of the protein, minerals, and vitamins they contain. According to the World Food Programme, the number of people experiencing food insecurity is projected to rise to 265 million this year. Embrace Relief’s Hunger Relief Program is designed to combat the hunger crisis whenever and wherever we can in the most efficient and effective way. We sincerely thank you for your continued support of our hunger relief programs!
The work we do would not be possible without your contributions. And our work will continue on for as long as there are hungry people in the world.
If you would like to donate to support Embrace Relief’s ongoing hunger relief efforts, you can do so with just a couple of clicks in the donation box below. By sharing your food, you can give families around the world the world hope and a brighter future!

Covid-19 cases continue to increase in my community in Cameroon. Cameroon now has over 23,000 cases of COVID-19 and the number escalates every day. The poor communities are the most affected. This is partly because they are not well informed and most of them do not have the money to buy a face mask and hand sanitizer. Preventive methods are still not known by many and this ignorance is part of the cause of the increase of COVID-19.
One person, one face mask is a project I decided to start in order to reach out to the rural community in my country in order to inform them about COVID-19, the signs and symptoms, the measures to prevent this pandemic, and what they need to do when they feel they have these signs and symptoms. Our mission to help those who can not afford a face mask and hand sanitizer. We will distribute buckets and soaps to wash hands, putting them at public places so that these people have the opportunity to frequently wash and sanitize their hands. This will go a long way to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and the geometric rise in the number of Covid-19 cases in Cameroon and the world at large.
The present situation in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in millions of affected cases, has proven the significance of accessible health care. If the health care system throughout different countries was more recognized and used during the primitive stage of COVID-19, the number of people infected would’ve been drastically lower; for instance, about 70% to 90% of Americans who died from the pandemic might’ve been saved. Therefore, it is now essential more than ever to increase the number of health screenings to prevent the spread of future outbreaks similar to COVID. The smaller steps in improving basic health care, such as proliferating the amount of health screenings, would later lead to larger health policy changes that have influence over millions of individuals.
The money donated into this organization can help contribute to nearly 100 million people being pushed into poverty, annually, due to out-of-pocket medical expenses. Moreover, health screenings can help in identifying diseases before it escalates to a global level; such can be said to the situation with the recent report on the Bubonic Plague’s resurgence in China’s Inner Mongolia and early identification of “G4” swine flu with pandemic potential. It is our responsibility, as a collective community, to now acknowledge the critical role of health screenings on the global population.
Please support our cause by donating money to help those who cannot afford health care, to those who live in poverty, and to those who might face future pandemics. Remember that any amount donated affects a single life that can be saved from a simple health screening.

Hello, my friends! Thank you so much for wearing a mask to keep yourself, family, and others safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. I have been making masks for the past several weeks in an effort to lower the curve of the ever-rising cases we have seen throughout the United States.
I have been making these masks free of charge and giving them to family members, friends, and coworkers but many have expressed the desire to give some form of contribution. Therefore, I kindly ask that you give a General Donation to Embrace Relief to further the many causes they are involved in. Embrace Relief builds water wells, provides international education programs, supports women’s empowerment, provides food, clothes, education, and healthcare to children in orphanages, and raises funds for hunger relief, refugee relief, and disaster relief.
Embrace Relief has helped millions of people around the world through these programs and continues to do so during the COVID-19 pandemic. They have helped distribute over 42,000 masks and 5,065 hot meals to first responders and families in need.
Please help me continue to make masks and support Embrace Relief with a donation of any amount today.
